Tuckerdale Baptist Church has several options that can host that special occasion. From weddings, reunions, parties, and other gatherings that would require a generous seating area. All of the areas and restrooms are handicap accessible. A two-week notice would be preferred in advance to the dates the facilities are requested.

Sanctuary

The church sanctuary is climate-controlled and can seat up to 200 people comfortably. An overflow area can be configured where additional guests may be seated and view the sanctuary activity via a video monitor. Audio/Video equipment can be available on request. (If this option is requested, a representative of Tuckerdale Baptist Church will be required to be present).

Audio from the sanctuary area can be heard via remote speakers in the Sunday School area (nursery & double-classroom area) if needed.

Fellowship Hall

The church fellowship hall is located adjacent to the main church building and can accommodate up to 100 people. A full kitchen is available with a stove, refrigerator, and microwave.

Terms of Use

To protect and preserve the property of Tuckerdale Baptist Church, a set of guidelines for appropriate usage has been established:

  • Not responsible for accidents that occur on the property.
  • Return all device settings to their original state (lighting, appliances, windows, door locks, etc).
  • Clean all appliances that were used (oven, microwave, and refrigerator). Wipe counter top surfaces and clean the restroom areas.
  • Remove all food and trash from garbage receptacles.
  • Refrain from attaching decorations with pins or tacks that puncture the wall surface. Also, refrain from using tape that will lift the paint during removal.
  • No alcoholic beverages or tobacco products are allowed on the premises.
  • Drip-less candles are required due to wax residue on the carpet. (Weddings)

Marriage

God’s design for marriage is for one man to be married to one woman for one lifetime. God gives reluctant permission for divorce and subsequent remarriage for innocent party in the case of unrepentant sexual sin or abandonment by an unbelieving spouse.

Human Sexuality

God has commanded that no sexual activity be engaged in outside marriage between a man and a woman. Any form of homosexuality, lesbianism, bisexuality, bestiality, incest, fornication, adultery, and pornography are sinful perversions of God’s gift of sex. Attempting to alter one’s gender by surgery or appearance violates God’s Word.

Membership I

The membership of this church shall be composed of persons who have given evidence of regeneration, and who have been received by vote of the church. Persons who actively and unrepentantly engaged in any sinful practice are not eligible for membership in the Church. Similarly, active and unrepentant engagement in any sinful practice is grounds for church discipline up to including revocation of membership. A practice is “sinful” when it is contrary to the nature and character of God revealed in the teachings of the text of the Holy Bible. Being understood that God’s Grace is sufficient to cover any and all sin except the blasphemy of the Holy Spirit.

Membership II

Persons who are actively and unrepentantly engaged in any sinful practice, while not eligible for membership, are invited and welcome to attend the Church provided their actions on church property and at Church functions are not inconsistent with the Church’s rules regarding Use of Facilities. Such persons should be received with love and compassion. Such persons should also be exposed the truth of the Holy Bible regarding sinful practices. A practice is “sinful” when in is contrary to the nature and character of God revealed in the teachings of the text of the Holy Bible. In addition to not being eligible for membership without first turning from sin, such persons may not participate in any leadership or elevated role without first turning from sin.

Use of Facilities

Neither property nor facilities owned by the Church (or used with the permission obtained by the Church) shall be used or permitted to be used for sinful activity, behavior or speech, or activity, behavior or speech that promotes, advocates or endorses any sinful practice. A practice is “sinful” when in is contrary to the nature and character of God revealed in the teachings of the text of the Holy Bible.

All Church usage or the usage of Church property must have approval by the Pastor, Deacons, and Church Membership.
